Women In Enterprise Event

There’s no doubt that small businesses are the foundation of the British economy, and with over 9,000 new businesses started this year alone, being an entrepreneur has never been so popular. However, it does seem that its mainly men taking the start-up plunge, with women currently owning less than one in five SMEs in the UK.

This is not something that sits comfortably with Neeta Patel, CEO of the New Entrepreneurs Foundation - a not-for-profit organisation which helps aspiring entrepreneurs get started, via a unique 12-month programme of hands-on work placement, mentoring, and networking – who is herself an entrepreneur.

Neeta and the New Entrepreneurs Foundation want to encourage more women to unleash their inner entrepreneur, and have rounded up some of the top female business talent in the UK, to talk to women about the realities of starting and running your own business, offering advice on how to get started, tips on juggling business and family life, and their own experiences as an entrepreneur.

Featuring key-note speaker Anne Marie Morris, Member of Parliament for Newton Abbot, this exciting and exclusive event will be held on Wednesday 22nd January at Le Meriden Piccadilly, London, from 6:30pm.

The evening will give women the chance to learn more about what life as an entrepreneur could be like, and have the opportunity to network with notable female entrepreneurs as they debate and discuss ‘what makes a great entrepreneur?’ – all over drinks and canapés.

Confirmed guest female speakers include:

Ann Marie Morris - MP for Newton Abbot

Geeta Sidhu-Robb - Founder & CEO, Nosh Detox

Eleanor Mills - Editorial Director, The Sunday Times

Benita Matofska - Founder & Chief Sharer, Compare and Share

Adele Barlow, Education Director, Escape the City
