Vanilla Honey Yogurt Smoothie

As I mentioned with the scrambled eggy breaky I often pounce on my 'puter' and then forget about eating until my home working day is almost at its noon.

So if you prefer not to eat much first thing, try this super quick low fat breakfast drink to give you an energy boost to start the day and get the brain cells firing. 

An ideal light breakfast, especially if you have to dart off to a client meeting or one of those long days at a business start up conference, this smoothie will give you a great start to your home working ... err ... mobile working day!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves 1

  • 100ml semi skimmed milk
  • 150g low fat natural yogurt
  • 25g bran flakes
  • ¼ tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp honey

Total cost: £0.51

Cost per serving: £0.51

Place all the ingredients in a liquidiser or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and drizzle over some extra honey to serve (optional).

Hints and Tips

For a smoother texture, soak the bran flakes in the milk for 5-10 minutes in advance.
